It seems it is time for the monthly Pauper meta!
First word: Stompy!!!
The Mono Green is reconfirmed as the Aggro that can hold against Midrange as Delver.deck and Boros Monarch and Control as Murasa Tron, Dinrova Tron and Stonehorn Tron (the last one is officially in meta. I know, it is bizarre!)
Second word: Burn
The Mono Red Lava Spike returns to increase, apparently without a reason. Burn has a very bad MU against UR Delver and Mono U Delver, so why play it?
It has a good MU against Boros Monarch (the archetype that prefers Primastic Stands and Radiant Fountain instead of Lone Missionary) and against a good part of Aggros.
It has also seen the Ghitu Lavarunner's arrival that provides
in attack used also in Modern and Legacy: the combat phase.
Third word (and the last one for this paragraph): Slivers [insert emoticon]
This archetype also has seen an incredible increasing interest.
It seems that Adventurous Impulse is playable.
Honestly, I have proved it in Mono G Tron and it is not satisfying; the only similar Aggro with a Toolbox that can play this type of card is Slivers.
THE MOST WINNERS, NO NEWS?
There is a decrease of Mono U Delver and I don't think it is a causality. Mono U Delver has in this meta the disadvantage to has a limited range of answers if we compare it to UR Delver. It has a "game style" that could be the main reason for the people's preference, and obviously it has a better manabase and it can take advantage of a card like Daze without problems.
It is probably the archetype that better takes the advantage of Rally the Peasants.
A GENERAL VIEW
Some clarifications: due to the force where data come from, in order to avoid imprecisions, there are 3 voices that represent some marco-archetypes:
– Teachings Tron archetypes: Murasa Tron, Dinrova Tron (and its variants) and Stonehorn Tron
– Fangren Tron: all the variants of Tron's "Big Mana" (Temur Tron, Cube Tron, Gr Tron, ecc.)
– TortEx: all the variants of Tortured Existence.
These choice are done in order to avoid to classify, for example, Dinrova Tron as Murasa Tron and vice-versa.
Dimir Alchemy has begun to have a decrease of presences in this last month, despite its incredible increase registered 1-2 month ago. The other archetypes are constant and we register also an Affinity's increase, even if it far from its golden age.
The base is Ozhov Pestilence, but it uses better the Control idea of the archetype inserting a major number of iterations based on Pestilence. It is possible thanks to the 8x of discard effect like Duress.
The meta analysis was short this time because the meta doesn't have great differences if we compare it with the last month.
The advice of this month is: use decks like Stompy, Elves or RDW. They are the most explosive Aggros and they better stem the opponent side's answers of the main tier.
Affinity is also a good choice, but you should opt for a more stable build, doesn't matter if the decks lose a few of its explosivity.
I'm waiting for the news of Pauper events that will occur in the next weeks in the USA and in Italy (the Paupergeddon of Florence in 24th June).
